A helping hand

We’ve been joined for a few hours this afternoon by Nicolson Instsitute student Luke Wilson who has been based in the Library for his work experience placement.  After giving him a tour of some of the collections we set him to work repackaging some school log books that we are repatriating to Barra next week.

Luke then moved on to repackage into archive quality sleeves the aerial photograph collection of Lewis from the 1970s.  Even allowing for some time to enjoy looking at the photographs and recognising landmarks and buildings that he knows, Luke still managed to repackage over 70 images in the time he was with us – great stuff!
