Friday photo; nice day for a boat ride

With some weather reports stating that today the Western Isles will be the warmest part of the UK, it would indeed be a lovely day for a boat ride.  This image is from c1906 and is taken at the mouth of the Creed in the Lews Castle Grounds.  It was sold by W J Tolmie, who was a chemist in Stornoway.  Unfortunately we do not know who the ladies are, but they are certainly rowing in style with their hats and puffy sleeves!

We hope you get to enjoy some sun this weekend!
