“If you can spell Airidhantuim, you’ve been there.”

Today, Monday 19th March, is the first day of Airidhantuim School’s three open days and evenings which are being held at the school to remember its 135 year history and to mark its closing.

Everyone with an interest and with memories of attending the school are invited along to see some very old photographs (and some not so old!) There is also the chance to read memories written by ex pupils, some of which have come from as far as Wisconsin, Montreal and Nova Scotia.

Please see the Stornoway Gazette for opening times of the exhibition and for the school children’s performances.
