Friday Christmas Card

This week’s Christmas card comes from 1906 and Lochmaddy, and shows a snowy scene with a family linking arms.  Is it too much to hope that we will have a white Christmas, or did we peak too early snow-wise?

  1. I think Mr & Mrs Chislholm were the Procuraor Fiscal and his wife who lived at Ostrom House which had been built in 1889 as a home for the holder of that role.

The 1901 Census records them with their four children who were then aged from 10 months to 7 years old and who could well be the four people in the photograph?

Season’s Greetings to the Tasglann Team!
