Edible Archives: Who’s for soup?

Archives Awareness Campaign pot

A recipe for Brochan Sgairbh, or Cormorant Soup, held by Comunn Eachdraidh na Pairc has featured in an article in the Scotland on Sunday.

A month or two ago we were contacted by the Scottish Council on Archives, the advocacy body for archives in Scotland.  As part of the 2011 Archives Awareness Campaign they have been gathering together interesting or unusual recipes from around Scotland for their Edible Archives project to then use to promote archives more widely in the media.  We passed the recipe call onto the Island’s Comainn Eachdraidh to see if they could contribute.

I don’t know if Ravenspoint are selling this particular soup in their spanking new cafe at Kershader but its well worth popping in to see!
