Lews Castle Museum & Archive – community consultation

Lews Castle

Ever fancied seeing inside Lews Castle’s main public rooms?  Now is your chance!  As part of the HLF bid being developed to turn Lews Castle into a museum and archive for the Western Isles a community consultation event is being held on Tuesday 28 June between 3-8pm.  As well as talks and displays in Lews Castle College foyer there will also be an opportunity to go into the main public rooms of the Castle.  More details are available at http://bit.ly/mf7fdg

This is a chance to see designs for what the new museum and archive could look like, ask questions and meet the people involved.  The Tasglann team have been involved in helping to specify the archive end of the project, the building design and storage.  We’ll be there on Tuesday in the foyer of Lews Castle College with an archives display out so do come and say hello, look at some of the archives and ask questions!
